About Tejsree
Her Story
Tejsree Beharee is a Bharatanatyam performer and educator. She has studied Chemical and Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Mauritius and she has worked in the field of engineering for one and a half years. She later completed her Bachelor (Hons) in Bharatanatyam from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (Mauritius), where she was awarded the best student in Bharatanatyam for her year and also the best student in performing arts. She has further followed a post-graduate certificate in dance education from the Mauritius Institute of Education and she holds a Masters degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras (Chennai).
Tejsree has also followed workshops under eminent dance teachers like Dr. Lakshmi Ramaswamy, Guru Rukmini Vijayakumar and Shri Balakrishna Karippal on various topics like Rasa, Abhinaya, Nattuvangam, amongst other topics.
Tejsree is the founder of the Nritya Tej Dance Academy, a dance school where she teaches Bharata Natyam and Indian folk dances and through her dance school, she strives to create awareness about the dance form and expand its potential by both presenting educative shows and by writing on various dance topics.
